Let us go back to stock markets. My stock market adventure started when I was 16. I was allowed to buy and sell stocks through my father. During my university years I took an investment advisor course in Warsaw (216 hours). I was fascinated by the stock market during my university years, so I managed to convince my professor, to pursue this topic on my master thesis. Have I had any success on the stock market? Well, like many of us, there are good times and bad times. During the best times I had stock worth two average size houses. That was during my university years, so I was a pretty rich student. Unfortunately I lost a big part of it some six months after the dot com crash. I survived the dotcom crash quite well, and then took a risk and invested all the money in one company (how stupid) which at the end went bankrupt. After that experience I decided to withdraw from this "business". I continued however my research after working hours as the process of numbers crunching was fun for me. After a while I started investing on the stock market again. At that time my strategy was not fully developed yet, and with unsatisfactory results of around 2% above the market I gave up on further research. I also sold all my stock, as I needed it to build my house.
